'Emily In Paris' Season 4: Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Updates

Emily in Paris isn’t making a French exit anytime soon. Netflix pretty much confirmed the romantic comedy series is a huge hit for the streamer when it picked up not one but two new seasons of the show at the start of 2022. So, where will Emily’s wild escapades take her next? Here are all the deets about Emily in Paris Season 4.

Netflix shocked fans on Jan. 10, 2022 by announcing Emily in Paris had been picked up for a third and fourth season. The first part of the announcement wasn’t too surprising; it was already widely assumed a Season 3 pickup would arrive shortly after Season 2’s premiere given all the continued buzz around the show. But it’s not too often a show gets a two-season pickup, especially from the infamously cancel-happy Netflix.

After the shocking twists in Season 3, there are so many directions the series could go next, so of course, Season 4 is a big mystery. But a few important details were revealed in Season 3 that definitely felt like big hints about what’s to come for Emily, Gabriel, Mindy, Sylvie, and the rest of the Parisian gang.

Could Season 4 *finally* be the moment where Emily and Gabriel actually end up together, or was the bombshell Camille dropped in the Season 3 finale too big for them to overcome? Here’s what we know so far.

It’s Leaving Paris This Season

Production on Season 4 was delayed due to the writers’ and actors’ strike throughout the end of 2023, but it jumped right into things at the start of 2024. Lily Collins confirmed the show had started filming by sharing a photo with the new season premiere’s script on Jan. 19.

Filming in Paris wrapped in late April, with Collins confirming that production would continue in Rome for the rest of the season.

It’ll Premiere In 2 Parts

Unlike past seasons, Emily in Paris Season 4 is being split into two parts. The first half of the episodes will drop on Aug. 15, with the second half arriving less than a month later on Sept. 15.

One Cast Member May Be Leaving

Despite those breakups shaking things up at the end of Season 3, it’s hard to imagine the show will get rid of its core cast. Obviously, Lily Collins has to reprise her role as Emily in Season 4 or it just wouldn’t be Emily in Paris, and Emily’s bestie Mindy (Ashley Park) and her will-they-won’t-they love interest Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) are too integral to the show to not be in Season 4. Also likely to be part of Emily’s world for the long run is her mentor Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu).

The two core players who are most up in the air after Season 3’s ending are [spoiler alert] Camille (Camille Razat) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount). Both of them ended things with Gabriel and Emily, respectively, due to the obvious chemistry between the marketing exec and chef. Camille’s pregnancy reveal could mean she will still play a big part in Season 4, but Alfie may be gone for good.

When Laviscount was asked in March if he’d be back for Season 4, he admitted, “I don’t know.”
