Influencer Kelly Hopton-Jones Accidentally Runs Over Son With Her Car

“He does have fractures in his pelvis that will take time to heal, as well as a few abrasions,” Kelly continued. “What stays with me is the doctor saying, ‘He is hurt, but this is something he can recover from.’ A true miracle.”

While she is “so incredibly grateful” her son’s injuries aren’t long-term, the influencer said, “We are in shock. We are so sad.”

Indeed, Kelly admitted that she and her husband felt forever changed by the incident, as she listed off a slew of ‘what if’s’ that could’ve prevented her son’s accident. 

“I keep coming back to what I would tell my own kids one day if this happened to them,” she continued in her post. “It would be a lot kinder than the things we’re telling ourselves right now. Accidents happen, and the only mistakes are the ones we don’t learn from.”

Nevertheless, Kelly assured she feels she is “on the lucky side” of what could have happened. As she put alongside a photo of her son recovering in the hospital, “We are holding him a little tighter tonight.”

Sharing Difficult News

Kelly Hopton-Jones shared that her son Henry was recovering in the hospital with pelvis fractures after she accidentally ran him over with her car on on April 15, 2026.
