NEW DELHI: A video capturing

Utah police officer

tackling a loose pig has gone viral, sparking laughter from people across the internet.
Reports flooded in to the Grantsville police department, situated about 30 miles southwest of Salt Lake City, regarding three pigs that had broken free and were causing chaos in a local neighborhood, as per Fox 13.
Officer Cory Cooper, along with several other officers, responded to the complaints.

Their attempts to capture the runaway pigs resulted in a

comical pursuit

that was caught on camera.
In the footage released by the department, Officer Cooper can be seen chasing the elusive pig across a front lawn. Despite several attempts by the pig to evade capture, Cooper eventually dives and tackles the pig.

Reflecting on the incident, Cooper mentioned that dealing with runaway animals was not a new experience for him. “It’s kind of all hands on deck because, and when you’re dealing with an animal with a mind of its own, you obviously can’t communicate, their instincts are to fight or flight and most of the time they run and they’re pretty fast,” he told Fox 13.
Although Cooper sustained a few minor injuries during the encounter, he assured reporters that he was otherwise unharmed.
All three pigs were successfully caught and will be taken to a rescue facility since their owner failed to come forward.
